You’ll note, that the total tax due to the state of Nevada (this document was filed on Aug. 18, 2016), plus interest and penalties is a whopping $160,609.23. And that amount has grown daily since that date from over a year ago.
The question came up: how do you get out from under something like that? The answer is, you can’t. According to research I’ve done, not even a bankruptcy filing will make that go away as tax debts cannot be wiped out when filing for bankruptcy. According to that research, taxes other than income, like payroll tax, sales taxes owed or fraud penalties can never be eliminated in bankruptcy.
$160,609.23. Ouch! You know that’s gotta sting.
NOTE: At the time of this post, it is alleged that this debt is accurate and has not been paid, according to Clark County Recorder’s Office records.
